The Cathedral of St. John the Baptist, Savannah, Georgia. At last, we are sharing our images from the exterior shoot of the cathedral. Like the beautiful interior renovation (see earlier posts below) this cathedral is a must-see when visiting Savannah. It is truly a place of worship and artistic beauty.
Happy Autumn that is here! For the love of early Autumn that we have waited for…sharing a favorite post.
A few more images from the beautiful early morning sunrise “Secret Lake” before we begin the fall foliage, winter and snow images. The Eastern skies have been incredible this year and as the temperatures drop they become even more intense, bold and colorful.
Note: Bracketed HDR and DRI images are in the collage.
This week we were in one of our favorite National parks, Shenandoah National Park which we visit often. At Big Meadows the sky was amazing, trees shimmery with light from the sun and amazing colors of green with blue, yellows, earth tones — totally a peaceful sight. Armed with six cameras and every lens and filter imaginable, we literally shot until we dropped (not to mention not eating all day!). We have shared our “mountain top” images from Shenandoah often in all seasons so this is a bit different…we called it “In the Trees”and shot many different and interesting trees this outing. The wildflowers were out in abundance and they deserve a separate photoshoot of their own. More to come from the summit and yes, mountain top images. This fall we are leading a Shenandoah National Park photowalk. Be sure to check out their website, videos and activities.
